RENTAL QUALIFICATIONS AND
REQUIREMENTS
In short: Renters/Drivers must be at least 21
and have a clean driving record, use a credit
card in their name with sufficient funds and provide
Proof of Automobile Insurance that will follow
the renter into the rental vehicle.
DECLINING COVERAGE
Renters who choose to decline coverage must provide
proof of Liability & Collision Insurance.
Simply bring the insurance card you keep in your
glove compartment or wallet or a copy of your
policy. Some credit cards may offer Rental Car
Collision Benefits. Credit Cards DO NOT offer

DRIVER'S LICENSE
An acceptable valid driver's license issued from
your state or country of residence must be presented
at time of car rental. The driver's license must
be valid for the entire car rental period. If
the driver's license is in a language other than
English, an international driver's permit must
be provided along with the driver's license.
ADDITIONAL DRIVERS/OPERATORS
Only the renter is authorized to operate the rental
car. No other persons are permitted to operate
the rental car without prior approval, and such
person or persons must appear at the time of car
rental and meet same qualifications as the renter.
AGE
Minimum rental age is 21 years old.
Sunshine Rent A Car will rent to customers' 21-24
years of age providing they meet the underage
qualifications. Underage renters/operators must
provide proof of automobile liability insurance
on a policy written in their name. Underage drivers
are also subject to an extra daily fee of $15

CAR SEATS
We offer car seats for children from infants to
toddlers. Please select this option when booking
your vehicle.
FLORIDA RESIDENTS / LOCAL RENTERS
Florida residents, or those without a return airline
ticket and renting from our Orlando location,
get 100 free miles per day, 750 free miles per
week and 2,400 free miles per month. Florida residents
picking up at our other locations get 150 Free
Miles Per Day / 1050 Free Miles Per Week. Vehicles
are NOT permitted out of the State of Florida.
Florida Residents can not use Debit Cards. Renters
must have verifiable home address with corresponding
land line phone number.
Some vehicles are FLY AND DRIVE only. Please
view the vehicle descriptions page for more
information. For instance; Luxury, Convertible
and Premium vehicles can only be rented by out
of State Customers that can provide proof of
inbound and out bound airline tickets. Luxury
vehicles can not be rented with a debit card
or with sub-par insurance.
CREDIT CARDS
Sunshine Rent A Car accepts all major credit
cards including bank, checking and debit cards
displaying the Visa and MasterCard logo. A major
credit card must be presented at time of rental.
We will obtain an authorization "hold"
on the renter's credit/debit card with an amount
determined by length and conditions of the car
rental agreement. Prepaid
Cards are NOT accepted. We DO NOT do cash
rentals.
DEBIT CARDS
Renters using debit cards must provide proof
of full coverage automobile insurance. A hold
will be placed on your Debit Card for $500 over
your estimated total. Unfortunately we can not
offer coverage on rentals secured by debit cards.
RESERVATIONS
Confirmation Number- Your confirmation number
is the number that you are given once your reservation
has been confirmed. This number can be used
to gain access to your reservation information,
including your rates or your rental information
once you have picked up the vehicle.
Cancellations and No Show
Reservations are automatically cancelled after
2 hours of expected arrival time during off-seasons.
Reservations are automatically cancelled after
1 hour of expected arrival time during peak-seasons.
Sunshine Rent A Car calculates rates based
on a 24-hour period. There is up to a 59 minute
grace period at the location manager's discretion.
The grace period is based on the time of pick
up NOT on the reservation return time. To get
the most accurate estimate, you should enter
a pick up time one half hour after you land
and a return time of no later then two hours
prior to your return flight.
WEB SITE ERRORS
From time to time our web providers make mistakes.
If in the event there is a booking error you
will be notified within 48 hours of the booking
or 24 hours prior to your pick up via the email
address you provide. A reservation is not a
guarantee of rate or availability.

DROP OFF
Fort Lauderdale - 7 days a week from 5am to
1am (except holidays)
West Palm Beach - Mon - Sat 7am to 8pm Sun
8am to 5pm(except holidays)
Margate - Monday thru Friday 8:00am to 6pm
- Saturday 9:00am to 11am (except holidays)
Orlando - 7 days a week 7am to 11pm (except
holidays). However, we do not take reservations
past 10 pm. Please contact each office directly
for instructions if you need to drop off a vehicle
after normal business hours.
